Dr.-Ing. Pouya Mohammadi
My name is Dr.-Ing. Pouya Mohammadi. I am a data science, machine learning and robotics freelancer (Freiberufler) specialist and consultant. I have in addition more than a decade long experience in different areas of computer science, optimization and statistical and mathematics methods.
I have a PhD in robotics from the Institut für Robotik und Prozessinformatik, Technische Universität Braunschweig; my master’s degree in artificial intelligence and robotics from the Sapienza university of Rome, Italy; and my Bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Bahonar university of Kerman, Iran. In addition to my educational qualification, I carry experience in project management and team leadership. In particular, I have worked in two large scale European projects with an active role in their technical coordination.
Since 2021 I am working as freelance consultant (Freiberufler Berater), offering service in my area of expertise in consulting, development and implementation, and training and teaching capacities. In a very short period of time I have expanded my client base considerably with prominent clients including multiple business areas/units of Continental AG (ContiTech‘s Advanced Dynamics Solutions, Power Transmission Group).
Industrial and Enterprise Experiences
Other than my current collaboration with my industry and enterprise clients, I worked for several years as research and development engineer in one of the largest manufacturer of industrial and home cooling appliances in Iran ↗. My work at the time focused on automation of industrial processes, sensor technology and integration of software components in production lines.
As a result of my personal work experience, in addition to collaboration with industry partners over the years, I am quite aware of the needs and requirements of stakeholders and business partners.
Academic Career and Publications
I have also a long academic career working in some of the best AI and Robotics laboratories in the world with some of the most prominent scientists in the field (e.g., Alessandro De Luca, Jochen Steil and Darwin Caldwell). I still collaborate with academic institutes (e.g., TU-Braunschweig) and make peer reviewed publications in respected journals and conferences.
Throughout my academic career I have work in two European projects. I acted as work-package leader in CogIMon project that was evaluated as “Excellent” by the European commission multiple times. Currently I am also a part-time project leader at the Institut für Robotik und Prozessinformatik of Technische Universität Braunschweig coordinating a joint collaboration that aims at testing exoskeletons with robots.
